There is an area of Lake Garda, in the north, at the foot of Monte Baldo, that seems to dive back into ancient history, with many traditional fishing villages gathered around a small harbour and rustic villages in the hills.
It is Brenzone sul Garda or as it was traditionally called, Magugnano, with its different districts, some on the lake (Assenza, Porto, Magugnano, Marniga and Castelletto), some on the slopes of the mountains (Castello and Sommavilla), on the rough side of Monte Baldo such as Prada, the starting point of a cableway from which you can enjoy a unique view and when you reach the top, cycling and mountain biking trails begin.
This huge attraction that combines vacationing on the lake (sports such as sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, etc...) and vacationing in the mountains (hiking, mountain biking, hiking trails of varying difficulty), Brenzone sul Garda is the perfect destination for discerning visitors. The high-level and cutting-edge accommodation facilities, as well as the culinary tradition and fantastic restaurants and trattorias with local specialties, are an added plus to the appealing natural environment.
The climate, tempered by the large water mass of the lake, is mild, favouring the luxuriant growth of olive trees, cypresses, oleanders and oak trees in the area along the lake. Higher up, mixed flora appears, while from 500 to 900 m the chestnut tree is in abundance. On the summit, up to 1,600 m, Alpine spruce, larch and pine trees appear. Brenzone sul Garda is a pearl set on the eastern shore of Lake Garda. Located in the center of the lake is historically and tourist area of transit for trade between Pianura Padana and the Alps.
