Up Monte Baldo with the cable car Funivie Malcesine for downhill biking or paragliding!
Garda Veneto is not only our lake, but also an incredible mountain: Monte Baldo. You can hike it alone or with the help of professional mountain guides, with walks and excursions, trekking or running. You can even choose to see it on horseback.
If fresh air and nature are what you’re after, try out Italy’s first lake park certified by the Italian School of Nordic Walking, in Brenzone sul Garda, a 17 km path touching slopes, beaches, towns and a cycle path.
For some truly unspoilt surroundings, try one of the many paths at an altitude: with the cable car connecting Malcesine to Monte Baldo, in just 20 minutes you can go from 99 to 1760 metres in Tratto Spino, where you can enjoy a breathtaking 360 degrees view thanks to the rotating cars! Take your walking sticks with you, or your dog, your mountain bike, or your paraglider!
You don’t need a licence to jump. In a tandem with an instructor you’ll be able to paraglide up to 3,000 metres, and then glide down to Malcesine! And if you’ve always wanted to go rock climbing but have never dared, ask a mountain guide for a completely safe overwhelming experience on aided rockclimbs or Baldo’s cliffs!
Is cycling your favourite sport? Whether with a mountain bike, a city bike, a city trekking bike or an ebike, in Garda Veneto you can cycle 12 months a year! From November to April the weather is mild, there is little traffic, less tourists, and the whole lake is at your disposal; from May to October Monte Baldo offers a fresh refuge, as do the Lessinia’s Regional Park and Valpolicella! What are you waiting for?
But maybe you don’t like cycling. Maybe you prefer tennis, horse riding or golf. No problem! We’ve got you covered for any kind of active holiday (even footgolf!) and we organize sporting events all year round you can watch comfortably as a spectator.
