Seasons and Special Holidays
In Garda Veneto your holiday is special all in any time of the year
Staying in Garda Veneto is always special, but more so in certain times of the year.
At Christmas, for example, the snow shrouding Monte Baldo while the lake below rests is a magical spectacle. Magical too is skiing or snowshoewalking at an altitude, visiting the markets in the towns with their holiday decorations, or tasting our specialties, like the starshaped Nadalin, the forefather of Pandoro.
New Year’s Eve in Garda Veneto is equally enchanting, with fireworks that light up the lake in all colours, and many exclusive packages our establishments prepare to surprise you with the traditional celebratory feast!
Carnival is also big: masks, costumes, parade floats and joy all round. If you wish, Verona and Venice and their worldfamous carnivals are really closeby!
Dicover our traditions at Easter, like the Living Stations of the Cross in Castelletto di Brenzone sul Garda. More than one hundred players reenact the Passion of Christ in a touching and evocative show. And have you ever tasted brassadèle? They’re sweet, small bread doughnuts, typical in this season.
In Garda Veneto, every season has its appeal, and is still linked to old farming rituals, with fêtes, festivals and events in all our towns!
In spring, blooming is spectacular, vines and olive groves get pruned and the large parks and attractions open after winter. Summer is the harvesting season, with historical events to celebrate Ferragosto (August 15). Then there is the grape harvest, and September ushers in autumn with Wine Festivals enlivening our towns. Finally there’s winter, with the harvesting of olives and chestnuts, markets, and the magic of Christmas to experience together!
