Chiesa Parocchiale Santa Maria Assunta

The construction of the Parish Church Santa Maria Assunta of Garda was started in 1530 and ended only in 1764 after 235 years. The festivity of Santa Maria Assunta is celebrated on August the 15th, when the Holly virgin is honoured with a rowing competition called Palio delle Contrade, where the winner is awarded with a wooden statue of the Holly Mary.
