Villa Zuccalmaglio
Located along the main road, which leads to Caprino from the south, this striking palace reveals a long facade topped with statues by Cignaroli.
The interior presents a large rectangular porched courtyard that gives access to several buildings which are still used today. In 1795, the architect Trezza was commissioned by Giuseppe Zuccalmaglio to enlarge and embellish the villa, which was previously used as a spinning mill. This leads us to believe that the surrounding land was full of mulberry trees and that parts of the country estates were assigned to sericulture. In 1796 during the French-Austrian war, the villa hosted general Joubert and his troops.
The villa is now owned by the Zanetti brothers
