Fascinating route that ventures into the wonderful Valley of the Mills, once home to mills powered by the waters of the Gusa Tesina stream, of which only one visible from the 1600s remains. This route is 10.2 km long, with an elevation gain of 220 m and a travel time of 1.5 hours, considered an easy medium loop.
The recommended starting point for this loop is Costermano. The counterclockwise direction of the route leads to the historic center of Costermano, a terrace with a view of Lake Garda, featuring the Becelli-Rizzardi palace from the 15th century and the charming inhabited village.
Following the path parallel to the provincial road, you begin to descend the valley, which allows you to observe the fluvio-glacial stratifications, offers interesting natural and geological attractions, and showcases very interesting vegetation. The path is also a health route equipped with exercise equipment. After crossing the road leading to Garda, you head towards the Giare area, then climb back up through the territory of Costermano, arriving in the Baesse area, and returning to the starting point while skirting the German War Cemetery from World War II, which, with its 22,000 graves, is the third most significant in Italy.
