This is the first of the four Nichesola villas to be found on the right hand side coming from Rivoli.
The first written records of the estate date back to 1376 when the Antonio and Bartolomeo della Scala family granted the concession of several estates, previously owned by the Malaspina, to the noble Nichesola family.
The villa consists of a splendid “house of the lord” and several farmhouses surrounded by a large plot of land. On the arch of the main entrance door one can see the date: 1604.
Inside, the walls of the main hall and the adjacent ground floor room, are decorated with fine frescoes. In front of the villa there are some worker's houses and on the left hand side, a barn with a stable. Last but not least, on the stone used as a doorstep, are sculpted some games and a cross by Antonio Tinelli, dated 1753.
Today, the villa is reknowned and famous for the name of the present owner, the Sometti family.
