Antonello Cuomo sings Venditti

Antonello Cuomo, known as “Antonello sings Venditti,” was born in Naples “under the sign of Pisces,” but it is not only from this detail that one understands how much the Neapolitan artist wants to connect his artistic life to Antonello Venditti.
His story is made up of anecdotes, meetings, and coincidences that will change his life.
The first of these involves a trip to Rome, where, after purchasing a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses, he is mistaken for Antonello Venditti by numerous fans. A coincidence that follows him up to 2007 when a friend invites him to Cinecittà to participate as an audience member on “Il Treno Dei Desideri,” a program on Rai1 hosted by Antonella Clerici.
During the evening, Antonello Venditti, a guest of Clerici, notices him in the audience and is surprised by their resemblance. It is from that day that Antonello Cuomo decided that in art, he would be “Antonello sings Venditti.”

It is a unique and exciting experience to see an artist interpret the songs of another great Italian artist.
Imagine Antonello Cuomo, with his warm and soulful voice, tackling the songs of Antonello Venditti, such as "Dimmelo tu cos'è," "Sotto il segno dei pesci," or "Notte prima degli esami." His voice would have a different imprint compared to Venditti’s, but it could bring a new energy and passion to the songs.

It doesn’t matter what the presentation might be titled, "Tribute to Venditti" or "Cuomo sings Venditti," and it could include a selection of the best songs by Venditti, reinterpreted by Cuomo with his unique style.
