Flower Festival

Malcesine in Bloom returns for the 2025 spring edition Friday 22, Saturday 23 und Sunday 25. May, organized by SGP Events with the support of the Comune di Malcesine local council.

In the beautiful setting of the public gardens on Corso Garibaldi in Malcesine and in the Captain's Palace,  thousands of colourful and aromatic plants take over the town centre for the whole weekend, from ground cover to pot plants, creepers to succulents, with varieties suitable for your terrace, back garden or as houseplants.

As well as plants that traditionally flower this time of year such as geraniums, lilies, freesias, camellias, tulips and primroses, just to name a few, but also indoor garden and fruit plants and some rarities: lemon and orange plants from Sicily, azaleas and rhododendrons from Tuscany, and oriental Bonsai plants, colorful roses and precious orchids.

Like every year, on these days of the event a free courtesy service will be available for anyone buying pots with plants or flowers. An assistant will carry large or bulky plants to your car to another place in the town centre.

One of the defining features of this event has always been the close attention paid to changes in gardening trends. For example, the fashion for growing herbs at home, for use in the kitchen to enhance your cooking: from rosemary to basil, from thyme to coriander, from sage to savory and the many different varieties of mint, all of these are on sale at Malcesine in Bloom.

Whether you are an experienced, green-fingered gardener or a beginner looking to learn more, you will be spoilt for choice.

The exhibitors are growers, so buying directly from them helps you to save money by cutting out the middleman. They can also provide useful tips on how to get the best from the plants they have grown.
