Discover the authentic soul of Lazise's countryside with a relaxing walk through nature, tradition, and local flavors.
Leave the lively lakeside behind and immerse yourself in the peaceful hinterland of Lake Garda, along charming country paths and quiet rural roads that wind through gentle hills and flourishing olive groves. Along the way, you’ll pass through authentic rural landscapes, dominated by some of the area’s most iconic crops: olive trees, the true symbols of an ancient agricultural tradition.
As you walk at a leisurely pace, you’ll reach breathtaking panoramic spots, perfect for a photo break or simply to enjoy the stunning views over Lake Garda and the surrounding hills.
At the end of the walk, you’ll be warmly welcomed at Le Ginestre Winery by Marco Ruffato, a family-run farm surrounded by greenery, where you’ll enjoy a unique sensory experience: a guided tasting of extra virgin olive oil, including D.O.P. certified varieties, all made with passion and expertise from Le Ginestre and Frantoio Veronesi.
During the visit, you’ll discover the secrets of olive cultivation, learn to distinguish between different types of oil, and understand what makes this “green gold” such an exceptional product of the Garda region.
An authentic experience of nature, culture, and taste, perfect for those who want to explore the true essence of Lake Garda—beyond the usual tourist paths.
The walking route is approximately 6.5 km long and follows easy, non-challenging paths, suitable for most people with a basic level of fitness.
However, it is not accessible for people with reduced mobility or wheelchair users, due to the natural terrain.
Guests with mobility difficulties are warmly invited to join us directly at the Le Ginestre Winery for the olive oil tasting. Just a few steps from the tasting area, there is also a beautiful olive grove that can be easily visited — offering a taste of the countryside without needing to walk the full route.
Meeting point is scheduled shortly before 9:00 AM in Via Monte di Sopra, Lazise, where parking is available before departing as a group.
How to get there:
On the Verona–Lake Garda state road coming from Verona, just near the road sign that says "LAZISE", turn left onto Via Monte di Sopra. A staff member and signs will direct you to the field where you can park your car.
You can also reach the same parking area by coming from the town of Colà di Lazise, taking the same road, Via Monte di Sopra, near Hotel Quellenhof.
