In the heart of Caprino Veronese, the ancient Palazzo Carlotti — now home to the Municipality — hides a true gem: the Civic Museum.
Here you can admire the Deposition of Christ, a mysterious sculpture from the 1300s, depicting the dramatic scene of Jesus being taken down and mourned by his disciples. After centuries of "sleep" in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, it has been restored to allow us to experience that strong emotion once again today.
In the Hall of Dreams, on the other hand, a magical atmosphere awaits you, filled with grotesques and myths from the renowned workshop of Jacopo Ligozzi, with stories of gods, heroes, and fantastic animals. You will also discover a medieval fresco of a hunting scene, donated by the Pro Loco, and visit unique archaeological finds: two Lombard sarcophagi and an ancient Roman piece from the 1st century AD, a testament to the long history of the area.
A visit not to be missed for those who want to immerse themselves in art, mystery, and tradition!
