Guided tour of the Church of San Pietro

The CTG El Vissinel A.P.S. association has been commissioned by the municipal administration of Bardolino for the year 2025 to take care of the enhancement of the church of San Pietro under the Rocca.

This will be an opportunity to rediscover a true treasure of art and architecture. Custodians and “guides” have been found for a jewel of the 12th century. The project of the Municipality of Bardolino to reopen the church of San Pietro to the public has begun, a small jewel built even before the 12th century at the foot of the Rocca di Garda and which has been closed to visitors since 2012 following archaeological excavations that uncovered the remains of a Roman necropolis.

Visiting days and times with the explanation of a volunteer:

• Sunday 19.04 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
• Sunday 26 April from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Sunday 17 May from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Saturday 30 May from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Saturday 27 June from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Monday 29 June
• Sunday 12.07 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• Saturday 18.07 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  On the occasion of the feast of Saints Peter and Paul, the church of San Pietro under the Rocca will remain open and will be illustrated by a volunteer from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
