A winding and surprising itinerary accompanies the flow of the Mincio, which originates in the Verona area, as an emissary of Lake Garda, and feeds the Regional Natural Park of Mincio in Mantua territory.

The over 17 thousand hectares of nature that make up its surface have an exceptional scenic-naturalistic as well as historical-cultural value, involving as many as thirteen municipalities in Mantova. The Park consists of a high plain, located to the north towards Lake Garda, and a flat agricultural area, marshy and lacustrine near the city of Mantova. The territory to the north, known as the amphitheater of the Morenic Hills, is dotted with vineyards, ancient villages, castles, noble villas, small lakes, and waterways, in the locations of Monzambano, Castellaro Lagusello, Volta Mantovana, Cavriana, and Medole.
