S. Pietro in Vincoli 's church

Church built in 1761.

The Parish of San Pietro in Vincoli, in the territory of Affi, officially began to exist on 26 March 1577. On that day, in fact, the decree of the Bishop of Verona Agostino Valier elevated to the status of parish church the sacred building erected about a century earlier right where the present 18th-century church stands. Our parish, however, boasts a much older history, which has spanned the centuries of the Middle Ages, building itself up as a Christian community and assuming an ever more precise conformation around the ancient town of Affi, on the slopes of Mount Moscal.
