The tour

A medium circular tour, from Malcesine to San Michele going up on the Vacco and Faigo mule track along path n. 4. And, on the way back to Malcesine, going along the trail of health of San Michele and passing through the Goa valley.

Be ready for a 9,5 km trek with 780 m of positive and negative height difference.

The route is quite varied: you'll walk on concrete, mule track, path, moved rocks and undergrowth. Some sections are situated among the olive trees, some others are in the wood or in the meadows.
The typical panoramic spots of our territory are many.

Tour description

From Malcesine take Via Navene Vecchia and, at the end of the ascent, take the uphill street on the right. Keep going on a mule track, turn left at the first junction and turn right at the second junction.

Cross the Panoramic street and keep going up, following the road signs to Mount Fubia - San Michele.
After a steep ascent, leave the concrete street and start walking along the path.
At the junction, turn right and keep going up on path n. 4 to Faigo and San Michele.

A section in a large meadow on a white road awaits you when you reach Faigo. At the crossroad, keep going up, on the left for about 5 minutes along the concrete road of Prai and take the first downhill street on the right leading to the Malcesine Monte Baldo cable car middle station.

Before reaching the station take the path on the left in the wood following road signs to San Maggiore.

When you reach the little church in San Michele don't leave the higher path and start going down in the wood following the trail of health.

When you leave the wood, keep going down on the left and then turn right after the descent on concrete.
At the roadside shrine, go down on the street on the left, called the Via del Vaas. Keep going down, cross the panoramic street on a short mule track which reduce the descent.

You'll end up on the Panoramic street again, immediately above the Hotel Val di Monte.
After the hotel, take the little street on the right and then the first descent on the left, from Val di Goa to Via Monti.
Inside the Val di Goa, during rainy days, you could find a small stream to be crossed in a couple of spots.

Form via Monti, keep going down to reach Malcesine.
