Pastrengo
Set among the moraine hills of Lake Garda and the Adige River, Pastrengo holds great historical and landscape value.
This small town is famous for the ‘Carica di Pastrengo’ on 30 April 1848, when a squadron of Carabinieri cavalry moved in defence of King Charles Albert of Sardinia, an event celebrated with a war memorial. Pastrengo also preserves the memory of the Unification of Italy with the 19th-century Forte Degenfeld, now a destination for tours and events. Beyond its history, however, the town offers suggestive panoramas of Bardolino vineyards and Lake Garda, which can be reached easily. The historical centre houses the Church of St. Cajetan and will draw you in with glimpses of authenticity.
Pastrengo brings together historical heritage and nature.
