Melodies, madness, and dances in 17th century Italy
Amor Balordo proposes an itinerary through the amorous passions of seventeenth-century Italy, featuring arias, cantatas, and instrumental pages by Monteverdi, Cesti, Ferrari, Falconieri, and other key figures of the early Baroque. A concert for tenor and triple-course harp dedicated to the many shades of love: desire, joy, melancholy, irony, and nostalgia.
