Alpine Troops History Museum

At the Baita of the Alpine Group, since 2011, the Historical Museum of the Alpines has been established with the aim of making the territory known and transmitting the civil values that are the foundation of the National Alpine Association (A.N.A.). The museum develops around two main themes: peasant civilization and wartime periods. Within these two themes, the museum is further divided into four sections.

• The peasant tradition: at the beginning of the exhibition path, one "enters" the house and trades of the peasant world during the period between the 1800s and 1900s. Here, one can admire the tools essential for agriculture and craftsmanship, as well as materials related to the old church of Lugagnano.
• Military history: in the second section, artifacts that were part of the personal equipment of soldiers from both sides in the Great War are displayed. It continues with objects related to World War II and the campaigns involving the Royal Italian Army. The exhibition progresses with materials from the post-World War II period and the Civil Protection.
• The transmitting radios: in the innermost area of the path, several military transmitting radios used during World War II are exhibited, perfectly restored and still functioning.
• The "Gigi" postcards: of great beauty and rarity is the collection of military postal postcards collected by the alpine Luigi Sala, which, starting from 1911 and until 1945, tell the story, among others, of the Alpine Battalions.

Within the museum, there is also the Mycological and Environmental Group with a permanent photographic and descriptive exhibition on mushrooms.
