This itinerary is ideal for those looking to experience the lake up close, along a shared pedestrian and cycling path. Please ride with care, especially in busier sections.
From the historic centre of Peschiera del Garda, head to Lungolago Garibaldi and continue north along the lakeshore, joining the cycle and pedestrian path. The first 6 km include a mix of paved and natural surfaces, such as gravel and sandy stretches, and are not always fully rideable—at times you may need to dismount.
On reaching the Fossalta area, near the campsite, the route briefly rejoins the road (Gardesana Orientale) along a dedicated cycle lane.
The first village you’ll reach is Lazise (around 7 km), a charming medieval town known as Italy’s first municipality. From here, starting at Lungolago Marconi, the route continues along a flat and accessible cycle path to Bardolino (about 6 km from Lazise) and Garda (around 10 km from Lazise), offering an enjoyable ride suitable for all.
