The Trenches of Dosso Merlo in Navene - A journey to discover the remains, tunnels, and walkways of the First World War

 



The trench path of Dosso Merlo is suitable for everyone and accessible all year round.

It is part of Italy's historical heritage that reveals the defensive system and the front line, through tunnels carved into the rock, observation points, artillery depots, and trenches.

Along the trail, you will find remnants of barracks used by soldiers during the war. The observation points were strategically positioned, and from here the view is indeed very wide.

The excursion offers the opportunity to explore the trails of the Great War and the trench path, immersed in a unique landscape, in one of the most beautiful views of Lake Garda.

Dosso Merlo can be reached from Navene, where you can park your car at the Navene Alta parking area.

The elevation gain is about 300 meters.
