The Austrian fortifications

Located on Monte Bolega at an altitude of 190 m, it has an irregular polygonal shape that adapts to the terrain configuration. It was capable of covering a wide expanse of land that stretches from Ronchi towards Lazise and Colà. To the north, it crossed its fire with Fort Degenfeld and to the south with Fort Leopold. Additionally, it overseen what were then the borders between the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Kingdom of Italy.
