Valeggio sul Mincio, nestled between the morainic hills and the Mincio River, south of Lake Garda, is the perfect starting point to discover a captivating area by bicycle. This historic village, known for its harmonious landscape and culinary traditions, is located at the heart of a region where nature, culture, and history intertwine among vineyards, ancient villages, and gentle hills.

The collection of cycling routes Garda-Hills Bike guides you in discovering the Morainic Hills, shaped by the glaciers that gave rise to Lake Garda. The paths spread out like the wings of a butterfly around the Mincio and start right from Valeggio, the strategic hub of the network. Through secondary roads, bike paths, and easy dirt roads, you will pedal through breathtaking landscapes and symbolic places of the area, such as the majestic Scaligero Castle, the picturesque mills of Borghetto, and the splendid Sigurtà Garden Park.

The routes also lead to nearby municipalities, towards sites of great interest such as the Nicolis Museum in Villafranca, a destination for vintage car enthusiasts, the San Martino della Battaglia Tower, and the Ossuary of Custoza, guardians of the memory of the Wars of Independence.

The five excursions, divided by difficulty, allow you to immerse yourself in a landscape rich in history and authentic flavors: from the Tortellini of Valeggio to the Bianco di Custoza DOC, to discover this territory pedal stroke by pedal stroke, in every season.
