Located in Custoza, the monument dedicated to Prince Amedeo of Savoy, Duke of Aosta, represents a significant testimony of the historical memory related to the events of the Italian Risorgimento. Made of Simona stone, the monument consists of three stacked parallelepipeds topped by an elegant obelisk. At its base is a bronze bas-relief, crafted by the sculptor Ceriani, depicting the wounding of Prince Amedeo during the battle.
Below the relief, the dedicatory inscription is visible, while the original design of the monument is attributed to Pietro Boldini.
The inscription reads:
"HERE/ AMEDEO OF SAVOY DUKE OF AOSTA.

FIGHTING FOR ITALIAN FREEDOM.
FOR ETERNAL GLORY AND REMEMBRANCE.
