Fishing and Lake Museum – Cassone

Overlooking the picturesque harbor of Cassone, just a few steps from the Aril, the world's shortest river at only 175 meters, the Fishing and Lake Museum preserves the memory of ancient Gardesana traditions.

An enchanting path guides visitors to discover the life of fishermen on Lake Garda through vintage boats, nets, hooks, original fishing tools, and precious historical photographs that tell the deep connection between man and the lake.

The simple and authentic setting recreates the atmosphere of the past, allowing one to immerse in the daily life of the lakeside communities. Outside the museum, two large tanks fed by the clear waters of the Aril host fish species such as eels, chub, and trout, recalling the building's ancient function as a fish hatchery.

An ideal visit for those who wish to learn about the history, traditions, and the most authentic identity of Lake Garda, in one of the most characteristic and tranquil corners of its eastern shore.
