Peschiera del Garda is an important transit point along EuroVelo 7, the so-called “Cycle Route of the Sun,” and also represents the starting point of the scenic Ciclovia del Mincio Peschiera–Mantova, one of the most appreciated cycling routes in Northern Italy.
The cycle path connects Peschiera del Garda to Mantova through a route of about 45 km that is almost completely flat, suitable for everyone, including families with children and less experienced cyclists. The itinerary mainly develops along the Mincio River, crossing particularly valuable natural environments and offering numerous opportunities for stops and leisure, such as Borghetto and Valeggio sul Mincio.
From the historic center, the cycle path can be easily reached by exiting from Porta Brescia, crossing the bridge and continuing on the left. After a short uphill stretch, you will find the signage on the left indicating the beginning of the cycling path.
In the immediate vicinity, there is a large free parking area near the sports field, in addition to very convenient connections: the Peschiera del Garda train station can be reached in about five minutes by bicycle, making access to the cycle path simple for both residents and visitors.
