Peschiera del Garda is an important stop along EuroVelo 7, the “Sun Route”, and also the starting point of the scenic Peschiera–Mantua Mincio Cycle Route, one of the most popular cycling itineraries in northern Italy.
Thanks to its strategic location between Lake Garda, the Mincio River, and the main tourist routes of the Po Valley, Peschiera is a key hub for cycle tourism. From here, it is easy to reach several destinations around southern Lake Garda, riding through a landscape of outstanding natural value, with the added option of combining cycling with ferry services that allow bicycles on board.
From the historic centre, the cycle route can be easily accessed by exiting through Porta Brescia, crossing the bridge and continuing to the left. After a short climb, you will reach the cycle path signage marking the start of the route, located just a few metres from the official beginning of the Peschiera–Mantua Cycle Route.
Nearby, there is a large free parking area close to the sports field, as well as very convenient transport links: Peschiera del Garda railway station is only about five minutes away by bike, making access to the cycle route easy for both visitors and locals.
