The South-West Cycle Path starts from Peschiera del Garda, connecting Peschiera to Desenzano del Garda, passing through the beautiful peninsula of Sirmione.

This route is ideal for those who wish to immerse themselves in history and comfortably reach the Sirmione peninsula, one of the most renowned destinations on Lake Garda.

From the centre of Peschiera del Garda, head towards Via Risorgimento and then take Via Milano. The cycle path runs alongside the Gardesana road for about 7 km, reaching the Colombare area. To access Sirmione’s historic centre, you will need to follow Via XXV Aprile, which does not have a dedicated cycle lane, so extra care is required.

Please note: during the summer season, cycling is not permitted within Sirmione’s historic centre.

Alternatively, if you continue along the Gardesana road instead of entering Sirmione, after approximately 6 km you will reach the centre of Desenzano del Garda.
