Romanesque chapel of San Zeno

Among the hills, not far from the center of Pastrengo, stands the Chapel of San Zeno.

This small building is a typical example of rural Romanesque architecture, with an ancient history dating back to the period between the 11th and 14th centuries. The structure is characterized by great simplicity: its reduced dimensions, essential lines, and stone masonry.

Even though the chapel is no longer open for worship today, the charm of its bare architecture and its position in the greenery make it a suggestive stop.
