A circular tour that from Malcesine leads to Monte Fubia passing through Navene and the Eastern Gardesana Reserve. From Monte Fubia you go back to Malcesine going down along the Vacco muletrack.
You will walk nearly 13km with 600 meters of ascending and descending height difference.
The trail extends along the beach and the hills of Malcesine and is rich in panoramic points and views over Monte Baldo.
Along the trail you will find the remains of galleries and trenches from the First World War.
Once you arrive at Monte Fubia we suggest you leave the trail and climb up Monte Fubia where you will rewarded with an amazing 360 degrees view over the whole of Lake Garda.
It's easy and the ascents are never too challenging. We recommend this if you want an easy walk surrounded by natural elements.
An average route good for a workout.
You start running north on flat ground: the ascent starts in Navene on tarmac then white road and trail to Monte Fubia.
You go back to Malcesine descending on concrete and muletrack.
From Navene to the entrance of the forrest road and in the final part of the climb, from clearing to Monte Fubia, you will find some fairly demanding slopes.
You start from Malcesine and walk on the cycle lane next to the beach, to Navene. Enter the ascending road on the right just next to the Fraglia Vela Malcesine, at the second crossroad turn right and take the forrest trail on the right, next to the gate.
Stay on the forrest trail until you get to a clearing. Go slightly down on the right and enter the trail that goes up on the left.
Here the slope gets steeper so keep running straight on the trail to Monte Fubia.
Now it's just downhill.
Go down on the right first on muletrack, then tarmac until you reach and cross the Panoramica road. After crossing it,
keep going on following indications for Malcesine.
Here an easy muletrack leads you to Malcesine, on Navene Vecchia road, in 10 minutes.
From Navene Vecchia road go down on the left until you reach the Gardesana road.
You start from information office of Malcesine, at the bus station, on the Gardesana road.
