Once known as ‘Arilica’, Peschiera del Garda is today one of the most fascinating towns on the southern shore of the lake. 

Recognized as a ‘Gem of Italy’, it vaunts two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the star-shaped Venetian walls — spectacular fortifications immersed in the Mincio Valley — and the prehistoric pile-dwelling sites. This dual record makes it unique in the landscape around Lake Garda. Peschiera is also the ideal starting point for exploring the lake.
