The Mincio Park covers more than 17,000 hectares and represents an area of exceptional value in terms of landscape, nature, history, and culture, involving thirteen municipalities in the province of Mantua.
The park is made up of a higher plain to the north, towards Lake Garda, and a flat area near the city of Mantua, characterized by cultivated land, marshes, and lake environments. This balance between land and water defines one of the richest and most varied river landscapes of the Po Valley.
The northern section, known as the amphitheatre of the Morainic Hills, is a landscape shaped by ancient glaciers and dotted with vineyards, historic villages, castles, noble villas, small lakes, and waterways. Among the most representative locations are Monzambano, Castellaro Lagusello, Volta Mantovana, Cavriana, and Medole, where nature and history blend harmoniously.
