Palazzo Guarienti, the country residence of the marquises Guarienti of Verona, is located in the historic center of the town, on via Murari.
Designed in a strict neoclassical style, the imposing building was designed by the Veronese architect Piero Ceroni, active in Valeggio between 1770 and 1775.
On the façade, a plaque commemorates the evening of May 30, 1796, during the Italian campaign, when Napoleon Bonaparte, having taken lodging in the palace, risked being captured by the Austrians, who had suddenly appeared in the town. Another plaque commemorates don Giovanni Beltrame, missionary, scholar, and explorer, 100 years after his death.
Today, its vast halls host the Municipal Library, as well as numerous art and photographic exhibitions.
