A landscape of natural wonders
Its endless green spaces alternate with stunning seasonal blooms, such as the now-famous Tulipanomania Festival in March and April, when over a million bulbs bloom in various shades. Or the Avenue of thousands of roses that in May adorns over a kilometer of promenade, under the imposing image of the Scaligero Castle (which stands outside the Park but for a special optical effect seems to be inside). On eighteen bodies of water, expertly and beautifully painted, the summer triumphs with hundreds of water lilies and lotus flowers, water hibiscus, and papyrus. Panoramic avenues, grassy carpets, and enchanting views characterize this green corner, already designated in 2013 as the Most Beautiful Park in Italy and in 2015 as the Second Most Beautiful Park in Europe. In 2019 the Park was awarded the World Tulip Award, conferred by the World Tulip Society, a global recognition regarding the most beautiful tulip blooms. The Sigurtà Garden Park was honored in 2023 with the Garden Tourism Award by the Garden Tourism Network as one of the most deserving gardens to visit in the world. The latest award received by the Park is the World Tulip Innovation Award 2024, presented to Giuseppe Sigurtà during a global summit in the Netherlands for the Tulipanomania, the most important tulip bloom in Italy, which takes place at the Garden every spring.
The Polirinto (green maze), inaugurated in the summer of 2011 after six years of hard work, is now one of the most appreciated stops for both adults and children. Born from a project by Count Giuseppe Inga Sigurtà, in collaboration with Adrian Fisher, one of the most renowned maze designers in the world, this "green" work houses 1500 yew plants that create a path over an area of 2500 square meters. At the center stands a tower inspired by one from the Bois de Boulogne park in Paris: from here, you can admire the geometries of this point of interest and enjoy a fantastic view of the Aquatic Gardens and the Great Oak which, at 400 years old, represents one of the oldest trees in the Park. Other points of interest include: the Little Castle, the Horizontal Sundial, the Stone of Youth, the Hermitage, the Great Lawn, and the farm, an ideal destination for the little ones.
The Garden can be explored on foot, on a walk, using electric golf carts, panoramic trains or by bicycle.
