It's an easy/medium difficulty circular tour leading you from Tratto Spino to Prai, and then on the eastern side of Mount Baldo passing through the Ventrar path.
A 5-kilometers hike awaits you involving 500 meters of elevation gained and lost.
The route is quite suggestive and certainly one of the most scenic of Mount Baldo. You should do it if you want to enjoy the stunning views over Lake Garda: only few routes are as beautiful as this one.
But, pay attention: Ventrar path is considered by Cai as EE
Ventrar path is narrow and exposed, in some sections you can find some iron cords which may help you: if you want to use them check their conditions previously.
We suggest avoiding this route if you suffer from dizziness.
From the Malcesine Monte Baldo uphill cable car station head north. Once you get outside the fence, take the first ascent on the left and head north again. Just after the poles of the ski slope facilities (Paperino) look for the red/ white/red horizontal signs marking the beginning of the path.
The path descends parallel to the Colma of Mount Baldo. It's easy, narrow, very panoramic and it leads to the Ventrar path entrance.
Ventrar path is almost 1 km long and cuts through the northern side of Mount Baldo, leading you on the eastern side of the mountain.
Once you reach the end of the path take the ascent and head south.
Here you can keep going on the white road leading you back with an easy ascent to the Cable car or, you can take the steep path on the right to get to the Colma di Malcesine.
From there on, walk on a flat ground towards the south for some kilometers until you reach the cable car.
The second option is more demanding but has much betters views.
The Malcesine Monte Baldo uphill cable car station is situated in Tratto Spino. You can find the cable car timetables and fares here.
