WATER SPORTS ON LAKE GARDA

What better season than summer to enjoy water sports on Lake Garda? It’s the perfect time to explore the area from the water and discover hidden corners from a unique perspective.

Water-based activities extend beyond the lake itself, reaching into the surrounding landscape and along the Adige River, which flows from the mountains down to Verona, passing through striking natural scenery, lush vegetation, and impressive rocky cliffs.

You can choose the activity that best suits you: canoeing and SUP are very popular in the southern part of the lake, while sailing and windsurfing are typical of the northern area, where consistent winds create ideal conditions for sailing sports.

DISCOVER THE AUTHENTIC HINTERLAND OF LAKE GARDA

panoramic views beyond the lakeshore

Looking for walks surrounded by nature, where the air is fresher and the landscape changes with every step? In the inland areas of the Veneto side of Lake Garda you’ll find exactly that: milder temperatures compared to the lakeshore, green trails, and panoramic viewpoints overlooking both the water and the surrounding mountains. Here, hiking becomes more than just an outdoor activity—it’s a way to slow down and discover a different side of the region, shaped by small villages, living traditions, and local products that reflect the identity of these areas.

Exploring the Garda Veneto hinterland means stepping away from the most well-known routes and experiencing the lake from a wider, more peaceful perspective. And for those already familiar with the lakeshore, it’s also a chance to go beyond the usual paths and discover hidden places that still preserve an authentic and unique charm.

CABLE CARS ON the mountains

To reach the highest elevations of Monte Baldo, you can choose different options: on foot, by bike, or, for a more comfortable journey, by cable car.

The main connections are the Prada–Costabella cable car and the Malcesine–Monte Baldo cable car, both ideal for quickly gaining altitude and enjoying spectacular views over Lake Garda.

Find all the useful information to plan your ascent safely and choose the route that best suits you.
