Sfida delle Carbonere
The Carbonere challenge has been postponed to Sunday, November 23rd.
The “Carbonere Challenge” is a culinary event that takes place in Castelletto di Brenzone as part of the Ancient Fair of Santa Caterina.
Here are the main details:
It is a team competition among the districts of the municipality of Brenzone sul Garda, each preparing the traditional dish of “carbonera” (or “carbonère”).
The dish: a polenta to which local cheeses and local oil are added, cooked in a copper cauldron.
The best Carbonera will be awarded by a popular jury and a quality jury.
The preparation of the dish will begin at 9 AM, while the tasting will start from 12 PM.
