The landscape of Lake Garda has always attracted visitors from all over the world, thanks to the mild climate, enchanting hilly and alpine landscapes, and picturesque villages.
The hinterland of Garda in Verona also offers numerous opportunities, ideal for short motorcycle trips: motorcycle enthusiasts can indeed enjoy a day outdoors in all seasons, and autumn is perhaps the best season to admire its romantic colors, visit culturally rich places, and, why not, taste typical dishes and excellent wines.
One suggestion is to start from Pastrengo, located on the gentle Veronese hills, between the Adige Valley and Lake Garda. The landscape is dominated by vineyards, olive groves, and fruit trees, but also by military forts and medieval buildings. Here, in 1848, the eponymous battle took place between the Royal Carabinieri of King Carlo Alberto and the Austrians.
The journey continues to Rivoli Veronese to visit Fort Wohlgemuth, built in the second half of the nineteenth century, positioned dominantly over the Adige Valley. Then you will take the road that runs between the vineyards, offering unforgettable glimpses with the background of the fort nestled on the hill, passing by fields cultivated with white asparagus, a typical product of Rivoli.
The next stop is Spiazzi di Caprino Veronese, where you can visit the splendid sanctuary of Madonna della Corona (be careful of the winding road). Once on the motorcycle, head towards Caprino Veronese to visit the suggestive Palazzo Carlotti, home to the Civic Museum, and continue on to Costermano, Affi, and Cavaion Veronese, where you can admire some elegant villas.
